Honduras Hugo Abraham Alvarado
£11.30
Mango, lychee, strawberry and lemon, violets and subtle notes of vanilla and nectarine to finish
Hugo Abraham Alvarado is a young coffee producer that has 25 hectares of coffee in the La Union area of Copan. Hugo grows a number of different varieties including lempira, parainema, catuai and ihcafe 90.
Hugo tried to produce some microlots last year, but the picking wasn't good enough and the lots didn't pass the quality threshold. Picking is often the biggest limitation on quality and something particularly hard to manage on larger farms. This year, however, Hugo made sure that the picking was much better and it resulted in huge improvements in cup quality.
This lot of lempira was processed as a natural and dried for more than 25 days on raised beds
All our coffee is sold as whole beans, which we recommend for optimum flavour and freshness.
